Laced, LLC ("Laced," "we," "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights concerning that information.

We collect information in two primary stages: during your purchase and subsequently when you use our Laced App and sensors.
1.1. Information Collected During Purchase (Customer Data)
When you place a pre-order or purchase a Product through our Squarespace store, we collect:
Contact Information: Name, email address, shipping address, and phone number.
Transaction Information: Details about your purchase, the product variant (Gen1 or Beta), price paid, and order number.
Payment Information: Payment card details are processed by our payment processor (Squarespace/Stripe, etc.) and are not stored by Laced.
1.2. Information Collected Via the App and Sensors (Performance Data)
When you download and use the Laced App with our sensors, we will collect, process, and store the following "Performance Data." This is the core data we intend to use to improve our service:
Sensor Data: Real-time and recorded data from the sensors, including rotational data and any detectable motion relevant to golf swing kinematics.
Golf Statistics & Metrics: Data input by the user or derived by the App, including but not limited to skill level, scoring, handicaps, shot distances, swing routine timing, and other game or performance metrics.
Usage Data: Information about how you use the App (e.g., features accessed, duration of sessions, device type, operating system).
Location Data: If you enable location services in the App, we may collect GPS data related to your golf rounds.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
2.1. Fulfillment and Communication
To process your order, or pre-order, and fulfill the shipment of the Product.
To communicate important updates regarding the estimated delivery timelines and any significant Product changes.
To process refunds or handle returns and customer service requests.
2.2. Product Development and Improvement (Performance Data)
Core Purpose: We use anonymized and aggregated Performance Data to analyze golf swing mechanics, improve the accuracy of our algorithms, and develop new features for the Laced App.
To personalize your in-app experience and provide you with specific feedback and insights on your golf performance.
2.3. Marketing and Promotions
To send you marketing communications about new products, features, or offers, based on the email address you provided. You may opt-out of these communications at any time.
3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We only share your information with third parties necessary to run our business or when required by law:
Service Providers: We share necessary information (like name and address) with shipping carriers, payment processors, and cloud data storage providers (e.g., for storing Performance Data).
Aggregated Data: We may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable Performance Data with partners for research or commercial development, but this data will never be traceable back to you personally.
4. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including encryption for data transmission and storage of sensitive Performance Data. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Access and Correction: You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you and request corrections.
Opt-Out: You can opt-out of receiving promotional emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in the emails.
Data Deletion: You can request the deletion of your Customer Data. Performance Data collected via the App may be retained in an aggregated form for product improvement purposes after being stripped of personal identifiers.
